Are your fireworks safety tested?

All our fireworks are manufactured to the highest quality and are batch tested and conform to the latest CE safety standard.

Do I need a licence to sell fireworks and if so where can I get one from?

Is there a limit on the amount of fireworks that can be purchased and stored?

You can normally store up to 250kgs of Hazard Type 4 (domestic) fireworks: however a risk assessment will need to be undertaken to evaluate the conditions and method of storage to be used prior to determining the appropriate storage weight. The amount of fireworks you can store will be stipulated on your licence.

What type of fireworks can you sell?

You can sell Category 1 Indoor Fireworks, Category 2 small to medium garden fireworks and Category 3 large garden fireworks. Category 4 fireworks are for professional use only and cannot be purchased or stored without a special licence.

When can you sell fireworks?

The normal licence allows you to sell fireworks between 15thOctober and 10thNovember (Guy Fawkes), 26thand 31stDecember (New Year) and three days prior to the Chinese New Year and Diwali. An annual fireworks licence is also available.

Scotland – New Laws supplying fireworks

Restricted times of day that adult fireworks (Cat F2 and Cat F3) can be supplied to the general public

Fireworks can only be supplied between 7am and 6pm (including deliveries)

Limit on quantity of fireworks that can be supplied to the general public.

This cannot exceed 5KG NEC at any one purchase

Exceptions

Certain customers are exempt from the regulations and may be supplied fireworks outside the permitted hours, and in amounts exceeding the permitted quantities. These include organisers of a public fireworks display for a charitable, religious, youth, recreational, community, political or similar organisation.
